I had a pretty good idea that it would be anytime. We were going to the play 'Doubt"- the first time I ever helped Phil with his lines was for a cutting he did from this play. :) I had had a really bad first part of the week. Everything was going wrong, but then I saw how the Lord was blessing day by day...and boy did he build up to a climax! Well, Saturday morning we went to Chuck-E-Cheeses for my now five-yeor-old brother's birthday party. I hurt my toe on something and it bled like crazy! Phil got on his knee... but it was to put a band-aid on my toe. :) We went downtown Charlotte late afternoon and, since we had time, went to get a Mocha Frapp at Starbucks. We then went into the Blumenthall Theatre to watch the most incredible play that I have ever seen (besides all of Phil's plays, of course)! We had to leave quickly because we had reservations at the 27th floor of a skyrise....BENTLEY's! We had to run in order to get there on time! We got our table. It was very secluded. The booth was in the corner, overlooking downtown, beautiful vase of roses, and tableside service, where they cooked and prepared the food right in front of you.

We decided to do the dinner for two, which was châteaubriand-the real châteaubriand. After we orderd, he told me that he left something in the car. He was gone at least 20 minutes or so it seemed! So, the waiter, Hanson from Morocco, decided to chat with me. Phil FINALLY came back and presented me with a box that had the Apple logo on it. I was like, "great, he got me a cover for my computer for our 11 month anniversary...how sweet!" Ok, so I was disappointed. But, to my surprise, I was wrong. With Phil everything is a guessing game, so I had to guess what was inside the box. After a while I said something right. I didn't even know what I'd said. He let me open it and inside I found a 24-page book of pictures that spread from 2003-2007! It was so sweet! Before I could turn the last page, he asked if I was sure I wanted to turn it. Repeatedly I said yes, but he kept asking that question, Finally he let me turn it. As I did, he got on his knee and said those famous 4 words. After a while of just gawking at MY rock, and shedding a single, happy tear, I said yes. That was the best meal I had ever had. It couldn't have been more perfect!
